# Ambassador Network

The Co-Op Business Club Ambassador Network is a two-tier referral system that rewards members and invited partners for growing the cooperative.

---

## Overview

Purpose: Get "eyeballs" on the Co-Op, grow membership, and build organic advocacy

Eligibility:

- Starter, Growth, or Agency members (automatic after application and verification)

- Non-members by Founder invitation (for those with networks)

Structure: Two-tier commission system (20% direct, 5% second-level)

---

## How It Works

### Two Types of Revenue:

#### 1. Chapter Fee (Agency Members Only)

- 20% of all chapter member fees

- Paid for managing and leading the chapter

- This is a management fee, not a commission

- Only applies to Agency Members ($1,970/month tier)

#### 2. Referral Commission (All Ambassadors)

- 20% commission on direct referrals

- 5% commission on second-level referrals

- Each Ambassador receives unique affiliate link(s)

- Available to all verified Ambassadors

---

## Revenue Examples

### Standard Ambassador (Starter/Growth Member):

- Direct referral (Tier 1) = 20% commission

- Their referral refers someone (Tier 2) = 5% commission

Example:

- You refer a Growth member ($1,970/month)

- You earn: $394/month (20% of $1,970)

- That member refers another Growth member

- You earn: $98.50/month (5% of $1,970)

- Total: $492.50/month from two referrals

### Agency Member (Who Also Refers):

Agency Members can stack chapter fees + referral commissions:

Scenario 1: Direct Referral

- 20% chapter fee (for managing chapter)

- + 20% referral commission (direct referral)

- = 40% total from that member

Scenario 2: Second-Level Referral

- 20% chapter fee (for managing chapter)

- + 5% referral commission (second-level)

- = 25% total from that member

Example:

- Agency Member manages chapter (earns 20% of all members)

- Directly refers 3 Growth members ($1,970 each)

- Earns: 20% + 20% = 40% of $5,910 = $2,364/month

- Those 3 members each refer 2 more Growth members (6 total)

- Earns: 20% + 5% = 25% of $11,820 = $2,955/month

- Total from 9 members: $5,319/month

---

## Main Ambassador's Unreferred Traffic

When someone joins through general chapter marketing (not a specific affiliate link):

- Main Ambassador gets 20% commission as default

- Plus their 20% chapter fee

- = 40% total from unreferred chapter members

This rewards the Main Ambassador for building overall chapter awareness.

---

## Becoming an Ambassador

### For Current Members (Starter, Growth, Agency):

1. Automatic eligibility at Starter tier or above

2. Submit application for Ambassador status

3. Verification process (no trolls accepted)

4. Receive unique affiliate link(s)

5. Start referring

### For Non-Members (By Invitation):

1. Founder extends invitation to individuals with strong networks

2. Complete verification

3. Receive unique affiliate link(s)

4. Begin promoting (without being a paying member)

Note: Invited non-member Ambassadors earn commissions without membership fees.

---

## Ambassador Responsibilities

Ambassadors are expected to:

### Primary Role:

- Get eyeballs on the Co-Op - Drive awareness and interest

- Grow membership - Actively refer qualified prospects

- Organic advocacy - Genuinely promote the cooperative model

### What This Looks Like:

- Share Co-Op content on social media

- Talk about the Co-Op in their networks

- Make warm introductions to qualified business owners

- Support members they've referred (informal mentorship)

- Represent Co-Op values in their communities

### What This Doesn't Require:

- Formal training sessions

- Mandatory quotas

- Micromanaging referred members

- Full-time commitment

Philosophy: Do what you can, when you can, to grow the cooperative.

---

## Campaign Flexibility

Chapter-Specific vs. Network-Wide:

Ambassadors choose which campaigns to promote:

- Local chapter campaigns - Promote specific city/region

- National campaigns - Promote Co-Op broadly

- Tier-specific campaigns - Focus on Starter, Growth, or Agency recruiting

How It Works:

- Ambassadors receive multiple affiliate links

- Each link can be tied to specific campaigns

- Commission tracking follows the link used

- Flexibility to promote where their network lives

Examples:

- Austin-based Ambassador promotes Austin chapter locally

- Same Ambassador promotes national Co-Op to online audience

- Another Ambassador focuses only on recruiting Agency Members

---

## Ambassador Limits & Structure

### Per Chapter:

- One Main Ambassador (Agency Member leading the chapter)

- Multiple supporting Ambassadors (as many as naturally emerge)

- Most chapters won't have too many (quality over quantity)

### Network-Wide:

- Unlimited Ambassadors across all chapters

- Each with unique tracking links

- No territorial restrictions (promote anywhere)

---

## Commission Tracking & Payment

### How Commissions Are Tracked:

- Unique affiliate links per Ambassador

- The Pulse tracks all referrals and conversions

- Two-tier structure calculated automatically

- Monthly commission statements

### Payment:

- Commissions paid monthly

- Based on active member subscriptions

- Recurring revenue (as long as member stays active)

- Stack multiple referrals for compounding income

Example Timeline:

- Month 1: Refer 5 members → Earn commission

- Month 2: Those 5 stay active + refer 3 more → Earn on 5 (Tier 1) + 3 (Tier 2)

- Month 3: All 8 stay active → Continue earning on all 8

- Income compounds as network grows

---

## Verification & Quality Control

### Why Verification Matters:

- Protects Co-Op brand and community

- Ensures Ambassadors align with values

- Prevents spam, trolls, or bad actors

### Verification Process:

1. Submit Ambassador application

2. Review of network and alignment

3. Approval or invitation by Founder/Leadership

4. Unique links issued upon approval

Note: Starter+ members are auto-eligible but still require verification to activate Ambassador status.

---

## Best Practices for Ambassadors

### What Works:

- Warm introductions - Personal referrals convert best

- Tell your story - Share your own Co-Op experience

- Focus on fit - Refer businesses who actually need this

- Support your referrals - Help them succeed = recurring commissions

### What Doesn't Work:

- Spamming social media

- Cold pitching strangers

- Overselling or misrepresenting

- Recruiting anyone with a pulse

Remember: You earn when your referrals succeed and stay. Quality beats quantity.

---

## Relationship to Agency Members

### Clear Distinction:

Agency Member:

- Pays $1,970/month

- Leads local chapter

- Responsible for chapter success

- Earns 20% chapter fee (management)

- Can also earn referral commissions (optional)

Ambassador (Non-Agency):

- Pays $197 (Starter) or $1,970 (Growth) or invited (free)

- No chapter leadership responsibility

- Focuses on referring new members

- Earns referral commissions only (20% + 5%)

Agency Member Who Refers:

- Wears both hats

- Manages chapter (20% fee)

- Refers members (20% + 5% commission)

- Can stack both revenue streams

---
